Task & Responsibilities Fitter: Assembling and Installing Equipment Assemble, align, and install mechanical parts, tools, and equipment as per blueprints and technical diagrams. Set up machines and equipment according to production requirements, including positioning and securing parts to ensure accurate fit. Diagnosing and Repairing Faults Inspect machinery and mechanical components to diagnose issues or malfunctions and determine appropriate repair strategies. Dismantle machinery and parts to access and repair or replace defective parts, using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment. Maintaining and Testing Equipment Conduct routine maintenance on mechanical equipment, following a preventive maintenance schedule to enhance equipment performance and lifespan. Test machinery after repairs to verify that issues are resolved, ensuring proper operation and compliance with safety standards. Reading and Interpreting Technical Documents Utilize technical drawings, schematics, and manuals to understand specifications for machinery installation and repair. Collaborating with Other Technicians Work closely with other tradespeople, engineers, and team members to troubleshoot and optimize machinery functions. Qualification & Experience Education: Certificate III or IV in Engineering (Mechanical) or equivalent qualification for Fitters, and bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent qualification for Mechanical Engineers Experience: Proven experience as a Fitter, Mechanical Technician, or Mechanical Engineer in a manufacturing or production environment. Skills: Proficiency in reading technical drawings and using diagnostic equipment. Strong mechanical aptitude, with attention to detail and a commitment to safety.
