Aroona Farms is a combination of two almond orchards, with the Margooya Orchard located in the Victorian Sunraysia region near Robinvale, and Simarloo located in South Australia’s Riverland near Renmark. Together our almonds orchards span over two thousand seven hundred hectares with over 900,000 trees and currently produce over six thousand tonnes of almonds per year.
The Operations Administrator can be located at either Orchard or based out of Mildura.
About you
The ideal candidate will love the challenge of balancing several balls in the air! You will assist with multiple projects, coordinate communication with various stakeholders, and support the management team in balancing speed and quality. You will need to be onsite occasionally, helping to oversee operations during a busy harvest period.
About the role
As the Operations Administrator, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of the daily operations and managing various projects that drive the business forward. The ideal candidate will have some experience in operations, preferably in horticulture or a related industry, and will be comfortable balancing multiple tasks during a busy harvest environment.
Reporting to the Operations Manager, Aroona Farms you will be responsible for:
* Promote and lead a strong safety culture, continuously working towards a safety culture of zero harm.
* Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders, facilitating clear and efficient communication.
* Support the Orchards in preparing for the harvest period, including onboarding seasonal workers.
* Help maintain project timelines and support quality control efforts.
* Identify potential issues early, communicating them to the team and suggesting possible solutions.
* Keep detailed records of budgets, timelines, and project progress.
* Be on-site as needed, assisting operations to ensure smooth project flow.
* Prioritise tasks effectively, balancing multiple responsibilities to assist the team’s overall objectives.
* Work closely with the management team to help achieve project goals.
