What you'll be doingIn this role as Tracheostomy Clinical Nurse Consultant (CNC) at Westmead Hospital you will be providing expert consultative services for patients with complex or difficult-to-wean tracheostomies.

Essential Criteria: Unrestricted NSW Drivers' LicenseRelevant Post Graduate QualificationsCurrent unrestricted AHPRA Nursing Registration List ASelection Criteria: Current registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency as Registered Nurse Division 1, with minimum five years full time equivalent post registration experience, with minimum of 3 years Tracheostomy nursing experience.
Supported by Post graduate qualifications or working towards same and/or extensive experienceDemonstrated extensive experience and specialist knowledge on the area of clinical specialty underpinned by current evidence base practice and proven ability to analyse clinical needs and to recommend and evaluate clinical plans within a risk frameworkDemonstrated excellent and effective interpersonal and organisational skills to provide timely and accurate information.Demonstrated ability to work effectively independently and within a collaborative team environment, whilst prioritising and managing own workload.Demonstrated commitment to quality improvement principles and improved health care outcomesProven ability to create and maintain a positive workplace culture, articulate and achieve a vision for Nursing /Midwifery services.Requisition ID: REQ544471Applications Close: 9 April 2025
