Reporting to the Procurement Manager, you will analyse sales data, market trends, and customer behaviours to forecast demand, optimise inventory, and enhance business strategy. You’ll be actively involved in the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process, working closely with the S&OP Reporting Analyst and Procurement Team to guide strategic purchasing and stock management decisions. This role is also responsible for: Product & Market Analysis – Assessing product performance, reviewing sales data, and tracking market trends to inform stocking decisions. Forecasting & Demand Planning – Utilising statistical models and forecasting tools (Excel, Power BI, etc.) to predict future sales and demand fluctuations. Strong understanding of payroll legislation, Fair Work standards, and National Employment Standards. Inventory Optimisation – Monitoring stock levels, identifying overstock/shortages, and recommending adjustments to minimise waste and maximise efficiency. Skilled in handling complex calculations for terminations, redundancies, and leave entitlements. Performance Tracking – Developing KPIs and reports to assess forecast accuracy and continuously refine forecasting methods. Cross-Department Collaboration – Working closely with sales, marketing, and buying teams to align demand planning with business goals. Continuous Improvement – Staying updated on industry trends and innovations in forecasting techniques to improve accuracy and efficiency.
