Current Opportunity
We are currently seeking an Instrumentation Electrical & Control Field Engineer to join our growing team.
This is a permanent field-based role, working 15 days on, 13 days off.
The Field Engineer ensures assets in Senex's Surat Basin operations are installed, operated, and maintained according to legislative and company standards.
In the position you will provide technical support, troubleshoot issues, and ensure safe, compliant, and profitable operations.
Additionally, you will assist with the technical design, construction, and commissioning of new facilities in brownfield projects.
Key Accountabilities Will Include Develop and update maintenance strategies for gas processing and water infrastructure.Support operations and minor capital work, including MOC process and contractor engagement.Create specifications, procedures, and training for wells, gathering, compression, water, and surface equipment.Provide specialist input to project teams for future equipment compatibility.Offer technical support and troubleshooting for field operations.Assist Brisbane-based senior engineers.Coordinate with engineering consultancies and project labour providers.Witness key project milestones and third-party inspections.Support pre-commissioning, commissioning, and troubleshooting activities.Ensure process safety critical systems are managed.Plan and manage work scopes for shutdowns and projects.Manage work crews during shutdowns and projects.Conduct failure investigations and Root Cause Analysis (RCA).Champion Management of Change activities in the field.Maintain up-to-date engineering documentation and CMMS records.Input spares requirements to maximize reliability.Identify opportunities to improve reliability, reduce waste, and increase value through innovation.About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Bachelor Degree, preferred background Electrical/Mechatronic;Minimum 2 years post-graduate experience in Electrical, Instrumentation, or Controls Engineering in an operational environment (Preferably CSG upstream)Understanding and application of asset integrity maintenance strategies to typical CSG equipment and associated infrastructureUnderstanding of associated legislation and standards involving the maintenance and operation of static equipment and HDPE gathering systemsProven experience of field equipment (Wells, Gathering, Water, Compression and power generation) selection, operation, maintenance and troubleshooting;Experience in working with and leading a multidisciplinary team to ensure successful project deliveryProven project engineering deliveryExperience in commissioning of new/modified plant and interface with design and vendor representativesInterpersonal skills: Professional attitude, technical orientation, committed to excellence, teamwork, flexibility and self-learning, problem solverEffective stakeholder engagement to ensure project delivery successMust have a valid car driving license.What's in it for you?
