Overview
Limestone Coast Local Health Network (LHN) is now accepting applications for more than one vacant Physiotherapist position (Allied Health Professional Level 1 or 2). One full-time temporary vacancy available working up to 4/2/2024; and one vacancy ongoing, working 60 hours per fortnight. This is a part time vacancy and salary will be adjusted according to actual hours worked. New graduates are also encouraged to apply.
Positions may be based at our main site in Mount Gambier or at our smaller sites in Bordertown, Keith, Kingston SE, Lucindale, Millicent, Naracoorte or Penola.
Mount Gambier Hospital is a growing health service providing care in a range of settings including orthopaedic, general surgical and medical inpatients, outpatients, inpatient rehabilitation, paediatrics and many more. The Physiotherapy Department at Mount Gambier Hospital boasts a young, energetic team focused on improving services for the people of the South East. As a Rural Generalist Physiotherapist, you will contribute to the delivery of a comprehensive and integrated range of health services. To achieve this, you will work as a member of a multidisciplinary team, including health professionals and service providers from other sectors. You will utilise a combination of preventative, early intervention, treatment/therapy and evaluation approaches. Mount Gambier is a growing city with a vibrant feel. There are many sporting clubs, activities and social events suitable for young professionals and families within one hour drive from the city centre. Mount Gambier Airport has multiple flights daily to Adelaide and Melbourne (45-minute flight time). There are also many opportunities to network with other professionals in the region through professional development opportunities and the local Young Professionals Group.
Our smaller community-based sites are focused on providing quality care, closer to home. Clients will be seen in a mix of acute, outpatient and residential aged care settings and come with a wide range of clinical presentations.
You must hold a recognised qualification in Physiotherapy and be eligible for registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). Experience is not necessary, new graduates are encouraged to apply. Our team consists of several senior Physiotherapists who have significant experience in the areas of musculoskeletal, critical care, neurological and amputee rehabilitation who support our junior staff members. You will be committed to client-centred practice and community engagement in the provision of services, ensuring clients are meaningfully involved in all aspects of their care. Your strong interpersonal and communication skills will equip you to work positively within a team and develop effective working relationships.
