We are a 189-bed, acute, private hospital facility co-located on the John Hunter Campus at Rankin Park. The hospital has 11 theatres, including a hybrid theatre and a 15-bed Intensive Care Unit.We also have a cardiac suite including a cardiac catheter laboratory and a 16-bed Coronary Care Unit. A private maternity suite including 6 birthing suites and a special care baby nursery is available for families in the Newcastle region. Newcastle Private Oncology Centre provides specialty care for individuals and their families/carers undergoing all aspects of cancer treatment and care with both an inpatient unit and day infusion lounge.As a Theatre Orderly, Your Responsibilities Will IncludeDelivering excellent service and care to patientsMaintaining and cleaning theatre equipmentAssisting in patient transportation to and from the Theatre complexLiaising within a multi-disciplinary teamEnsuring patient and staff safetySound knowledge of theatre equipment and safe use practicesProven troubleshooting skillsProcess organizational skills and complete documentation to a high standardEssential CriteriaPrior experience in a hospital environmentPrior experience as a Theatre Assistant, Wardsman, Orderly, or similar (highly desirable)Valid authority to work in AustraliaFlexibility to work a range of shifts across the breadth of theatre hoursHold a valid NSW Working with Children check for EmploymentCommitment to Quality Patient CareSound decision-making and problem-solving skillsExcellent communication and customer service skillsWorks well independently and within a diverse team environmentApplications close: 21st March 2025To Apply: Please click on the 'Apply' button to be taken to our online application form.
