Takeoff with your next opportunity
Following an internal move, we now have a great opportunity in the role of Head of Airport Services for our Australia and New Zealand Operations. Reporting directly to our Chief Operating Officer, you will act as a crucial member of the Jetstar Operations Leadership Team, whilst delivering exceptional people leadership to the broader Airport Services Team. You will focus on leading and directing the safe and efficient operation of airports throughout the Jetstar network at both domestic and international airports, ensuring compliance with all Airport Services policies and procedures including our customer service standards, passenger check-in, ramp operations and Customs, Immigration and Quarantine requirements.
Your new areas of focus
As Head of Airport Services your will focus on:
3. Fostering a culture of success through targets, team member engagement and regular performance reviews and development, ensuring that we have an engaged team with the right skills and capabilities
4. Driving a safety culture, ensuring that the safety of our people and customers is our number one priority
5. Identifying opportunities to achieve Jetstar’s strategic, commercial and cost objectives
6. Evolving and executing the Airport Services Strategy
7. Ensuring Airport Services achieves its financial targets, including through the preparation, implementation, monitoring and control of the function’s budget.
8. Building and maintaining effective working relationships with Jetstar and Qantas stakeholders
9. Upholding superior Airport Standards, including Airport Services training programs, certification and licensing standards, development and management of performance standards for Jetstar contracted Domestic and International Airports, and ensuring that all airport infrastructure requirements are met
10. Ensuring the successful establishment and start-up of new Domestic and International airports
11. Effective negotiations for airport charges and access agreements as required
12. Management of Service Level Agreements and Key Performance Indicators for contracted airport handling agents and third party service providers.

We’re searching for someone who:
13. Is an accomplished people leader – experienced in leading a large customer focused team, including experienced managers
14. Is confident to lead in a highly regulated, unionised, aviation environment
15. Brings a strong commercial and strategic mindset – able to bring a perspective that balances cost, customer, compliance and team member engagement
16. Is confident in financial management, including experience in managing a sizeable budget
17. A genuine passion for people leadership, including significant exposure to leading a team of diverse individuals and responsibilities
18. Comfort in presenting to a range of audiences, including a range of senior executive forums
19. Relevant tertiary qualifications, coupled with post graduate qualifications would hold you in high regard.
