Reporting to the GM Sustainability, the Forest Management Coordinator, is an opportunity to oversee the development and implementation of nation-wide forestry management systems that enable management of conservation values and maintenance of forest certifications. Working closely with operational teams to implement Forest Management and Chain of Custody Systems to support sustainable outcomes. The primary responsibilities of the role are: Coordinating forest management and compliance systems across Midway’s Australia wide business. Delivering systems, processes and reviews in an efficient and proactive manner. Partnering with our operational teams to deliver high quality environmental and supply chain management outcomes across the group. Facilitate compliance with all legislative, regulatory and certification standard requirements. Work closely with the Sustainability team to support business wide Health, Safety, Environmental and Sustainability Programs. The successful candidate will have: Demonstrated experience in developing, implementing and continuously improving innovative forest and/or environmental management systems. Demonstrated knowledge and experience in developing operational plans, conducting site inspections, incident investigations, and compliance audits. Ability to think conceptually and creatively to analyse and resolve challenges. Experience in the interpretation and application of relevant legislation, certification standards and reporting requirements Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders across the organisation. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail, sound judgment and a focus on continuous improvement, supported by strong computer skills (Excel, Word, Outlook, SharePoint). You will have a passion for management systems and determination to succeed. Self-motivation to work autonomously as part of a national and interdisciplinary team. Comfortable working within agile environments and adapting to dynamic challenges. Experience in production forestry operations (desirable).
