About the role
The HR Assist Advisor is a newly created permanent role, based in our new modern office in Duncan Street, Fortitude Valley. This role sits within the newly created Centre of Expertise - HR Enablement and Support which focuses on the delivery and provision of exceptional HR operational services to the organisation. The HR Enablement & Support service stream is responsible for core and holistic HR operational provision supporting our staff and managers.
The HR Assist Advisor will play a pivotal role in supporting the HR functions in their resolution of simple to complex employee and manager enquiries and requests and will be the first line of contact with employees/managers to guide/respond and ensure a seamless experience and/or escalating the request where required. You will also be responsible for:
1. Navigating HR Processes: You will understand the employment lifecycle and key HR metrics to drive continuous improvement, while adhering to established processes.
2. Ensuring Compliance: You will work with enterprise agreements, Modern Awards, National Employment Standards, and employment contracts to ensure compliance.
3. Delivering Excellent Customer Service: You will provide exceptional service, creating a seamless employee experience and addressing the HR needs of a multidisciplinary workforce.
4. Collaborating with Teams: You will work effectively within a team, utilising your strong written and verbal communication skills.
About you….
You will bring strong HR generalist knowedlge, excellent customer service and people skills and the ability to engage, advise and manage competing priorities, in a busy and complex environment. You will love diversity in your work and also comfortable with structure and organised workflow. You will assess priorities and manage competing deadlines in a high-volume, process-driven environment with keen attention to detail.
Ideally have experience in the not-for-profit (NFP) or healthcare sector, where you can leverage your knowledge to ensure we provide an exceptional level of service to our workforce and managers.
You will bring:
5. Sound understanding of the employment lifecycle and key HR metrics that inform continuous improvement; follow and adhere to established processes
6. Sound understanding of enterprise agreements, Modern Awards, National Employment Standards and employment contracts
7. Exemplary customer service skills with demonstrated capacity to deliver a seamless employee expereince
8. The ability to accurately determine the HR needs and requirements of a multidisciplinary workforce
9. Able to work effectively within a team and excellent communication skills - both written and verbal
10. Capacity to work in a high volume, process driven environment; attention to detail
11. Able to assess priorities and manage competing deadlines
12. Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentially when dealing with sensitive issues
13. Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Suite and solid understanding of HRIS systems. Knowledge of Oracle HR would be an advantage
