About the Role This is a Fixed Term Part Time position to cover Parental Leave for 12 months, at 0.4 EFT/ 15.2 hours per fortnight within the department of General Medicine (Clinical Pharmacology) You will be responsible for…. The Clinical Nurse Consultant will work collaboratively with the Clinical Pharmacology Director in all Clinical Pharmacology activities such as the RCH Drug Usage Committee, Adverse Drug Monitoring and other Quality Improvement programs including toxicology, therapeutic drug monitoring and allergy testing. The Clinical Nurse Consultant will actively participate in clinical research that aims to improve our understanding and/or management of Clinical Pharmacology in children, and also participate in the audits of safety and efficacy outcomes relating to Clinical Pharmacology. Classification for this position will be ZJ4 (base salary $45,458 per annum, plus superannuation) Your skills and experience: Essential: Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) administered though the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (APHRA) Demonstrated commitment to ongoing personal and professional development, as evidenced in a Continuing Professional Development (CPD) record/Professional Practice Portfolio (PPP) Successful completion of the Good Clinical Practice (GCP) course within the last three years Extensive experience in an equivalent relevant senior nursing role Desirable: Post Graduate qualifications in Paediatric Nursing or working towards Relevant experience in Clinical Pharmacology and Clinical Drug Trials Ability and experience with the implementation of change initiatives led by organisational wide change, including cultural, organisational and work practice changes Other Requirements: Employees are required to undertake a National Criminal Record Check and a Working with Children Check prior to commencing employment Employees are required to maintain a valid Working with Children’s Check throughout their employment A current, full drivers licence for the State of Victoria which is appropriate for the type of vehicle being driven, and comply with any restrictions on their licence (e.g. wearing glasses) while undertaking hospital duties (If applicable) Employees are required to maintain compliance with RCHs “Staff Immunisation - Prevention of Vaccine Preventable Diseases” procedure.
