About the role
Located at our feed mill In Gunnedah, this role will see youdevelop and coordinate a production schedule to support the master production plan, assigning production to reduce the costs for the company in inventory holding costs and improved manufacturing efficiencies and meet delivery deadlines and service levels for both internal and external customers.
You will also manage inventory levels, track inventory movements, and manage inventory counts.
Key responsibilities include:
* Coordinate and develop weekly production schedule ensuring minimum downtime and cost of production
* Weekly production schedule signoff with operations and daily production recording in SAP (PDR)
* Analyse past and present data, for input into future production schedules and reporting and acting on identified continuous improvement opportunities
* Ensure adequate Bulk, Manufacturing & Micro ingredients are onsite to enable the Feed mill to operate to meet agreed production plans
* Manage stock, stock recording and variances and lead and support stock expiry management
* Ensure efficient management and cost control of inventory and performance KPIs are met.
The role is on-site and located in Gunnedah, NSW.
About You
You are decisive in your problem-solving approach, have excellent communication skills and strong organisational and planning skills. You are a natural influencer and encourage open, friendly engagement and collaboration.
You will also have:
* 3 + years planning / scheduling experience within discrete manufacturing essential; Experience in FMCG manufacturing would be highly regarded
* Knowledge of MRP software (SAP preferred)
* Advanced knowledge of production, Inventory control and management
* Supply Chain related Degree or equivalent; APICS CPIM certification desirable
* Strong analytical ability as well as skills in MS Office, notably Excel and Word.
