The Role: MU90 Technician
As a MU90 Technician within our UVX team based at HMAS Stirling, you will play a critical role in the MU90 ISS Project by ensuring the quality, consistency, and safety of our work delivery through technical support across various maintenance areas.
You will work closely with our talented Maintenance Team and supporting Project functions, contributing your skills to engineering projects and aiming to become a certified MU90 Technician within 18-24 months.
Key Responsibilities
* Maintenance of Torpedo items
* Depot level launch preparation and refurbishment activities for the MU90 LWT & PDT
* Routine and corrective maintenance of Support and Test Equipment
* Assist with continual development of MU90 Light Weight Torpedo and Prime Item Assembly Work
Your Skills:
* Technical or Trade Certificate in Mechanical, Electrical, or Electronic Trades, or equivalent
* Able to work autonomously and as part of a team
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to write clear, concise documents containing technical details
* Experience working within a Health Safety Environment (HSE)
* Solid knowledge of safe work practices, including material safety and handling of hazardous materials
Requirements
* Australian citizenship
* Eligibility to obtain and maintain an appropriate Defence security clearance
