In this role, you will deliver high-quality infrastructure investigations, expert advice, and design services across various engineering disciplines, including civil, geotechnical, structural, hydraulic, and environmental.You will collaborate with a dynamic, multi-disciplinary design team to drive the successful delivery of projects and strategies that benefit both the team and the broader city.Your focus areas are:Plan, manage and execute geotechnical and contamination site investigations of engineering problems.Provide professional engineering advice to Council staff, including advice as part of: investigation and design of engineering problems, contract and tender documentation, construction management, legal representation, and business improvement activitiesApplying knowledge and experience in geotechnical investigation and design of pavements, retaining walls and foundationsDevelop concept options to manage complex engineering problemsManage projects in accordance with Council’s project management system.Travel and/or work across multiple LGA sitesLET’S HEAR ABOUT YOUOur ideal candidate will excel when it comes to technical ability. You are proficient in applying innovative engineering and environmental practices and understand the importance of relationship building through your strong interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills.
