Your new role
1. Demonstrate compliance of legislative and statutory requirements as well as the company policies and procedures across all areas of the home and ensure requirements are consistently met.
2. Promote a resident-centred culture which values, respects and treats all residents with compassion and dignity.
3. Continuously monitor clinical care processes and ensure safe practices to effectively implement improvements, minimise risks and prevent injuries for all stakeholders.
4. Ensure medication management and infection prevention control principles are maintained and are in line with current best practice guidelines, policy and legislative frameworks.
5. Ensure the rights and responsibilities of residents are provided and concerns raised by residents or family members are addressed in a timely and coherent manner.
6. Assess and ensure admissions, communications and care processes are delivered to keep residents and families informed about the care that is being provided.
7. Maintain contemporary knowledge to provide safe and effective resident-centred care to meet the changing needs of the Aged Care industry.
8. Monitor and ensure food, catering, maintenance, cleaning and laundry services and processes are maintained at a high standard.
9. Proactively lead crisis management within the home, including implementing appropriate outbreak/Covid-19 response and process.
10. Ensure new staff receive adequate induction, support and appropriate training.
11. Manage and monitor occupancy levels to ensure resident % is maintained and maximised.
12. Oversee the effective, accurate documentation and timely submission of claims relating to AN-ACC.
13. Report to the Regional Manager on major operational issues and results.
What you'll need to succeed
1. Minimum at least 5 years’ experience in a management role.
2. Bachelor or Nursing (RN) preferred.
3. Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and within a multidisciplinary team.
4. Demonstrated influencing skills amongst internal and external stakeholders to achieve desired business outcomes.
5. Demonstrated ability to deliver outstanding customer service and a consistent customer-first approach.
6. Exceptional team building skills, including the demonstrated capability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to prioritise workloads.
7. Commitment to quality and a broad knowledge of all facets of contemporary aged care, including care funding and accreditation.
