About us:
The Education and Research Unit provides nursing and midwifery education, professional practice development services and clinical practice improvement initiatives for nursing and midwifery staff, to facilitate the achievement of best practice health service delivery requirements. The Education and Research Unit is led by the Nursing Director (Education and Research).
The Nurse Educators (NE's), Midwifery Educators (ME's), Clinical Nurse Consultants (CNC's), Clinical Placement Coordinator (CPC's), Clinical Facilitators (CF's), Student Facilitators (SF's), Librarians the Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) service report to the Nursing Director of Education and Research. Nurse Educators in Gladstone, Emerald, Aged Care and Mental Health have professional links with the Education and Research Unit.
About the role:
* Is accountable at an advanced practice level for the design, implementation, and assessment of midwifery education programs, managing educational resources and providing midwifery expertise relating to educational issues in the maternity environment.
* Reports to the Nursing Director (Education and Research) with professional links to service leads.
* Leads and supports a culture of development and enquiry which actively encourages and facilitates clinical, professional, and organisational learning.
About you:
* Current registration as a Registered Midwife through the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
* Whilst not mandatory, relevant post graduate qualifications are highly regarded.
What we offer:
Total monthly value of up to $13,684 is comprised of:
* An hourly rate between $66.85 - $72.58 p.h.
