We are partnered with a government-owned corporation in Townsville to recruit a Communication and Engagement Officer.
Your new role
In this temporary assignment, your responsibilities will include:
Working with the Change Management team to implement the change management strategy for the Project.
Collaborate with stakeholders, including Business Unit Managers, end-users, and project teams to understand their needs and concerns.
Support the execution of communication plans to keep stakeholders informed about changes, milestones, and project updates.
Deliver communication sessions to ensure end-users are proficient in new project processes and functionalities.
Provide ongoing support and address user concerns to ensure a positive user experience.
Assist to identify sources of resistance to change, working closely with the project team to develop strategies to mitigate concerns.
Support the impact assessments to understand the effects of the project changes on various business units and processes.
Works with project team to implement mitigation plans for potential risks and challenges.
Work closely with Project Manager, project team and working groups to ensure change management activities align with project timelines and goals.
Ensure appropriate health and safety, environmental management, quality and information security practices are implemented for all works to comply with the organisation's policies and relevant legislation.
Comply with all relevant legislation, codes of practice and standards.
Promote a Zero Harm culture and continual improvement in our Health and Safety management and performance.
What you'll need to succeed
To excel in this role, you should have:
A National Police check or the ability to obtain one.
Current C class drivers license.
Experience in either change and/or communications role.
Experience in developing and/or delivering training.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels.
Ability to create and deliver training information, workshops, and communications tailored to diverse audiences.
Analytical and problem-solving skills to address challenges associated with organisational change and training.
Team collaboration to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Flexibility and adaptability to navigate ambiguity and evolving project requirements.
