You will be working on REA property valuations systems, closely with major lending organisations of Australia to deliver new business solutions. The systems we work with bring us good challenges and scope for learning new technologies.What the role is all aboutWe are looking for a Developer who is passionate about supporting the Consumer experience.You will be working collaboratively with our product and technical team members to help deliver and support REA’s main website.Help design, implement and maintain our Real estate Web features specifically surrounding the Enquiries process.Input into delivery planning and technical design by providing a balanced view of options, effort and quality considerations.Keep abreast of the latest technology advancements to inform product and technical design.Proactively contribute to the continuous improvement of products, technology, processes and team development.Actively develop skills and experience through continual learning and evaluation.Maintain and support production systems and users in different capacities (custodianship, business hours pager, help channel requests).Who we’re looking forSomeone with a few runs on the board.Experience working in full-stack development is highly valued.Demonstrated experience working in one or more of our programming languages.Experience working in back-end services that use GraphQL, Protobufs or gRPC.Developed skills in software development techniques such as object orientation, functional programming, test driven development, micro-services and continuous delivery.Open to learning other languages and frameworks that support our technical direction.Demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative environment.Looks at tricky situations through a solutions-focused lens.Work productively in a fast paced and agile environment.The REA experienceThe physical, mental, emotional and financial health of our people is something we’ll never stop caring about.
