We encourage employees to bring their true selves and share their unique talents and expertise to positively impact the communities we serve.Job DescriptionAs a Manager in Vialto Partners' Global Mobility Tax team, you will play a key role in assisting some of the world's most recognisable global organisations with their tax obligations related to the movement of employees across international borders. This role involves providing tax compliance and consulting services to multinational organisations and their employees, ensuring adherence to global tax regulations, and optimizing tax strategies for both the company and its mobile employees. We are looking for strong communicators with experience in Global Mobility who enjoy being part of a team and have a desire to accelerate their career.Key ResponsibilitiesTax Compliance and AdvisoryAccurately review tax returns and related deliverables for globally mobile employees within designated deadlines.Offer specialised advice and strategic recommendations regarding tax planning, withholding responsibilities, and social security contributions.Work in tandem with our client's Finance, Payroll and/or HR departments to ensure accurate calculation and reporting of payroll taxes and social security contributions.Offer specialised tax advice on assignment structures, leveraging tax treaties, and identifying tax-efficient benefits.Educate and brief employees on their tax responsibilities and the potential implications of international assignments.Provide guidance on tax equalisation and protection policies to employees, ensuring clear understanding and compliance.Analyse employee compensation and payroll data to accurately calculate tax liabilities and identify potential benefits.Prepare supporting applications and documentation to optimise employees' tax positions, including comprehensive data analysis and communication with assignees.Client Management:Responsible for the financial management of the engagement (this includes billings, collection, metrics & KPIs tracking).Manage an engagement team, collaborate and coordinate colleagues locally and internationally, and deliver seamless service to our clients.Collaborate with clients to implement Global Mobility Tax strategies minimizing liabilities for both the company and the employee.Recognise and actively seek out fresh business prospects within the existing client base, gained through a deep understanding of their changing requirements.Work to expand the client portfolio and nurture existing client relationships to drive revenue growth.Analyse market trends and competitive landscape to identify potential growth areas and opportunities.Team Management:Contribute to the development of your own and your team's technical acumen.Actively participate in training and development programs.Manage workflow within your team.Provide regular feedback to team members and support year-end performance processes.Research and Analysis:Stay informed on the latest developments in international tax laws and regulations.Gain a broad understanding of other service lines within the business to identify cross-functional issues and collaborate with other Mobility SMEs for integrated solutions.Conduct in-depth research on country-specific tax issues, particularly in areas where the organization operates.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Business, or a related field preferred.5+ years of experience in Australian tax preferred, with a focus on individual tax compliance and consulting.Prior experience with Australian global mobility tax issues and/or international tax regulations.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment, and contribute to the development of the team.Commercial acumen and experience with financial management of accounts.Business development skills and ability to identify opportunities to support our existing clients and introduce Vialto to new clients.Proficiency in Microsoft Office and/or Google assumed and knowledge of other business technologies and analytics tools an advantage.Work Environment:Hybrid role with the ability to flex your week between home and office.Opportunity to work a compressed work week schedule.Occasional travel may be required for client meetings and professional development.Be part of an engaged, social and high-performing team both locally and globally.Ongoing technical training, market-leading professional development, and support for accounting qualifications (where appropriate).International secondment opportunities throughout your career.Additional InformationWork Location: Sydney/ HybridWe are an equal opportunity employer that does not discriminate on the basis of any legally protected status.Please note, AI is used as part of the application process.
