Do you want to make a difference by volunteering with an environmental charity that supports conservation workers in developing countries? Thin Green Line is an Australian charity supporting rangers on the frontline of conservation, enabling them to protect wildlife, wild places, and the future of our living planet. We do this by funding training and equipment, and by fostering global networks for rangers in Africa, Latin America, Asia, and Oceania. We’re looking for a casual or part-time volunteer – minimum one day a week. Ideally, you can work in our office in Balnarring on Victoria’s Mornington Peninsula, but we’d still like to hear from you even if you can’t get to Balnarring.
We need help with the following tasks. You don’t need to have experience in all these areas:
* Review and summarise information and online data
* Prepare social media posts aimed at supporters and stakeholders
* Operate online retail websites, and ship orders
* Event assistance
* Sort and stack and count stuff (like merchandise and uniforms)
* Minute-taking/note-taking.
Skills and Experience: You don’t need any specific educational or technical qualifications. You’re confident with Microsoft Word and Excel, and keen to work with a small team of motivated people. Fluency in French would be a bonus.
Please send Nick an email if you’re interested or if you have any questions.
Benefits:Volunteers are much appreciated and a vital resource to Thin Green Line. You will work with people from different backgrounds, while being part of a very small, but well-established organisation that gives and gains support to help the people who protect wildlife and wild places across the world.
