The role
Nobu Matsuhisa’s acclaimed Japanese Peruvian restaurant is the jewel amongst the restaurants of Crown Sydney. We are looking for an enthusiastic and resolute individual to join the Nobu kitchen team as a Chef de Partie on a full-time basis. In this role, you will directly support the management team to implement, develop, and uphold operational procedures, standards, and goals. You will oversee a kitchen section to ensure smooth operations. The following responsibilities for this position include but not limited to:
* Assist Senior Chefs in daily food preparation and service, ensuring the maintenance of high and consistent food standards.
* Set a leading example and inspire a team of kitchen professionals.
* Collaborate effectively within a team in a face-paced environment.
* Contribute to achieving daily financial targets.
* Understanding of food safety standards and HACCP
About you
* Ability in Japanese cuisine is highly desirable.
* Experience in upscale dining or hotel establishments.
* Strong organisational and communication skills
* Capability to follow instructions and adapt to competing demands.
* Self-motivated and adaptable
* Relevant hospitality qualification in Commercial Cookery Certificate or equivalent
