An opportunity is now available for a Reinsurance Assistant to join our Sydney team in a permanent, full-time position.
The key responsibilities include:
* Prepare applications for recoveries from the government medical indemnity insurance schemes through Services Australia.
* Quarterly analysis of reports to determine reinsurance recoveries.
* Quarterly analysis of AIL bordereau to determine which matters require reporting to external reinsurers.
* Preparation of Claims Transaction Reports.
* Quality assurance check for all information received from the Claims Department.
* Manage and monitor unclaimed recoveries.
* Maintain records and respond to s38 queries.
* Provide timely and thorough responses to requests for information in accordance with Services Australia deadline.
* Manage the process of receipt recoveries.
To be successful in this role you will have:
* Medico-legal secretarial experience or knowledge of medical and legal terminology advantageous or;
* Personal injury claims management experience
* Bookkeeping/accounting experience
* Proficient Microsoft Excel skills essential
* Must have strong organisational skills and ability to meet strict deadlines
