At Refuel Australia our people are the greatest contributors to our success. We are currently offering an opportunity for a Fuel Tanker Driver to join our team, working from a Geraldton base.
About the role: Reporting to the Area Manager, you will be responsible for the safe delivery of fuel throughout the Midwest region. Multi-product deliveries include Refuel Australia depots, a variety of customers including farming, mining, drilling, roadhouses and service stations, OPT's and commercial customers. One truck, one driver.
Key responsibilities: Safely load, transport and unload bulk petroleum products at retail, agricultural, commercial business and mine sites. Drive multi vehicles, including single, b-double and road-train combinations. Ensure safety procedures are followed at all times, in all work areas, within Refuel Australia sites, customer sites and on the road. Complete prestart checks and report maintenance issues. Report any incidents or near misses in line with Refuel Australia incident reporting procedure. Undertake fuel deliveries in a safe manner to sites and all customers in line with communication and direction from Fuel Scheduler or Area Manager. Develop, grow and maintain good relationships with customers and ensure Refuel Australia customers receive a professional delivery experience at all times. Use handheld electronic system provided to complete all required administrative tasks associated with deliveries. Minimum Requirements: MC drivers licence. Current DG licence. Minimum two years MC driving experience – with fuel tanker driving and delivery experience. Excellent driving history. Safe Load Pass. Fatigue management training certificate. National Police Clearance. Essential skills: Skilled and competent driver experience, preferably in the safe delivery of Dangerous Goods. Basic mechanical skills on the operation of a heavy vehicle. Good knowledge of heavy vehicle mass management, fatigue management (BFM), dangerous goods and road transport rules and regulations, load restraint and chain of responsibility (CoR). Good knowledge of workplace health and safety legislation, policies and associated operation of heavy vehicles. Strong customer service focus, positive attitude, good communication skills, work ethic and respect for colleagues. Strong commitment to managing fatigue. Knowledge of basic manual handling procedures. Must frequently be able to lift up to 25kg. Ability to drive long distances and travel regularly. To submit an application click the apply button.
