Key Responsibilities:
">
">
1. Undertake mechanical design using CAD packages (SolidWorks & AutoCAD)
">
2. Perform engineering calculations and source components/equipment
">
3. Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors during design and production
">
4. Create sketches and designs to clearly communicate concepts
">
5. Produce documentation including HAZOP, Risk Assessments, QA reports, and more
">
6. Manage projects and contracts while ensuring high-quality output in line with customer needs and regulatory requirements
">

Requirements:
">
">
* 5+ years' experience in mechanical engineering
">
* A Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering or similar, with exposure to structural/machined components
">
* Proficient in SolidWorks and AutoCAD Mechanical (2D)
">
* Strong problem-solving and communication skills
">
* Knowledge of Australian Standards and codes
">
* Self-motivated with the ability to work autonomously
">
* Must be based in Australia with full working rights
">

Desirable Skills:

* Experience with hydraulic systems, FEA, and electrical controls
">
* Mining and rail industry exposure is a plus
">
* Previous experience in drawing checking and project management
">
">
Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per annum
