Your Opportunity
IGO are looking for a qualified Electrical Technician to join our Cosmos Project care and maintenance team. This role will see you working in a small maintenance team to safely deliver all electrical work ensuring productivity, safety and statutory testing is completed in a care and maintenance environment
We are seeking candidates who will enjoy working closely in a small team and can bring a flexible approach to work and getting the job done. Being a care and maintenance site, this role will require you to support your small team and also be an active member of the site Emergency Response Team. The role will be offered on a permanent FIFO basis (Ex-Perth) working an 8:6 Wednesday roster.
Key accountabilities include:
* Working on a variety of equipment and systems including underground pumps, HV electrical systems, Substations, and communication systems;
* Provide support to the wider team to foster cooperation and a good team culture;
* Active member of the site ERT team (requirement to be clean shaven for mask fit requirements); and
* Be readily availability to work when called to support operational requirements.
Your Experience
Along with an engaging communication style and pro-active attitude, you must be a team player and bring the following skills:
* Electrical Trade Qualification and current WA “A” class Electrical Licence;
* High Voltage Switching Certification with demonstrated experience (essential);
* Underground 1000V system installation and maintenance acumen/training;
* Fixed plant HV and LV system maintenance acumen/training;
* Working at Heights, Confined Space ticket, EWP licence;
* Citect SCADA training/experience;
* Strong mechanical knowledge and willingness to work on mechanical equipment if required;
* You will be required to wear a face fitted mask and be clean shaven;
* Strong technical expertise and extensive experience working with underground fixed plant equipment;
* Valid C Class Manual Driver’s Licence (essential); and,
* National Police Clearance obtained within the last two months.
