We are looking for a Retail Credit Analyst to join the team here at DLL! The purpose of the role is to process Equipment Finance credit applications for Retail Credit (primarily to AUD$1.5mln) vendor finance customers.
Day to day
* Process Retail credit applications within time-based service level agreements.
* Apply sound risk analysis and policies in making credit recommendations and decisions, with a Delegated Credit Authority in accordance with level of experience.
* Undertake financial analysis and modelling.
* Liaise with internal Sales, Vendors, Dealers, Customers and other third parties to gather sufficient information to make a credit recommendation or decision.
* Make decisions within Delegated Credit Authority.
* Communicate credit decisions to stakeholders in a timely manner.
* Provide deal structuring options and advice in a proactive manner.
* Assist with other credit-related activities such as:
* Ability to respond or acquire knowledge to respond to internal and external customer requests promptly and correctly. Major responsibilities will be in the Retail vendor finance area.
* Confident, professional, and effective communication skills. Working with introducers of new business, customers and third parties such as accountants, other finance companies and equipment dealers, representing DLL in a highly professional manner, displaying behaviours consistent with DLL’s Core Values.
* Together with external stakeholders, the role includes substantial collaboration with internal stakeholders such as Salespeople, Collectors and Operations.
* Consultative approach to working with all stakeholders – team player.
* Strong ability to share business and risk knowledge with other DLL members, in order to build a culture of risk management balanced with commercial objectives.

Your Profile
* Degree or studies in accounting, finance, commerce or related field – may have completed, or still studying on a part time basis.
* Experience working in an Equipment Finance Credit or similar environment would be an advantage, but not essential.
* Vendor / Dealer Equipment Finance experience is preferable, but not essential.
* Experience in credit application processing and evaluation in a Vendor Finance or commercial equipment finance setting would be an advantage, but not essential.
* Understand the differences between customer types, and be able to apply that knowledge accordingly to effectively assess both credit risk and non-credit risk, and make recommendations accordingly.
* This is an Entry Level position to Credit, so training will be provided to gain:
* Basic understanding of the equipment finances legal framework, including the purpose of equipment finance / contractual documentation, an understanding of basic contractual terms and conditions, securities requirements, and other legal and regulatory requirements.
* Basic understanding of Vendor-based and Dealer-based finance partnerships, including both strategic commercial objectives and risk management principles.
* Knowledge of financial statements and cash flow analysis, projection analysis, industry / market credit research and collateral analysis.
* Understanding of, and ability to apply Basel II risk principles.
* Volume of transactions is high, and Service Level Agreements must be adhered to, so a demonstrated ability to prioritise and perform multiple tasks on an interrupted basis is important.
