At the University of Notre Dame Australia, we are seeking expressions of interest from registered Nursing, Midwifery and Allied Health professionals who have a passion for teaching.
About Us
The Majarlin Kimberley Centre for Remote Health is a Commonwealth-funded University Department of Rural Health based on the University of Notre Dame's Broome campus.
We aim to contribute to the development of a capable and culturally responsive Kimberley health workforce through inspiration, education, innovation, and research.
To achieve this, we facilitate the delivery of high-quality Nursing, Midwifery and Allied Health clinical education and professional support.
About the Role
We are looking for clinicians with an interest in clinical education and a desire to contribute to growing the next generation of the Kimberley health workforce.
This role is suitable for anyone who has a passion for teaching and wishes to make a difference in the lives of our students.
Key Responsibilities
* Incorporate, advocate and demonstrate culturally sensitive healthcare practices.
* Supervise students effectively with a student-centred approach that facilitates active learning and supports students from diverse backgrounds.
* Provide academic counselling, mentoring and advice to students related to their clinical placement.
* Collaborate with other staff, including Clinical Education staff at Majarlin, Majarlin Leadership and relevant stakeholders from external clinical facilities and universities.
Requirements
Relevant qualifications and/or experience recognised by the institution as appropriate for the relevant discipline area.
Experience in teaching and/or research within a university or teaching environment will be highly regarded.
