About our role We are looking for 2 Automotive Technicians who will work Monday to Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm at our Nissan and Mitsubishi workshop in Cambridge. As an automotive technician, you are, above all, responsible for performing all kinds of service operations (inspections), defined assembly operations, and maintenance repairs to customer and company vehicles with the highest level of quality and efficiency. We are also keen on recruiting young talent who want to pursue a career in the automotive industry and start an apprenticeship with us or who are currently working through an apprenticeship. Your responsibilities will include: Ensure that all servicing and repairs follow specifications and standards. Support and contribute to the effective operations of the workshop. Utilise skills and knowledge to diagnose problems with a range of vehicles. Engines rebuild and overhauling. Gearboxes rebuild and overhauling. Electrical and ECU fault finding and repairs. High performance Braking system upgrades and maintenance (Inc. Carbon Ceramic) Assist with Apprentice training and teaching of skills. Customer/Client relations building Skills & Experience A current clean full Driver's Licence. New Zealand National Certificate in Automotive Electrical and Mechanical Engineering certified or relevant International Automotive Motor Mechanic Qualifications Franchise experience working with Nissan or Mitsubishi motor vehicles is advantageous. Experience in fault/diagnostic findings. WOF Certification will be to your advantage however, it is not necessary. Friendly communicator with good English language skills and a high level of personal integrity.
