About the role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant/Client Advisor to join our AMD Southwest team. The ideal candidate will have a desire to be a valued member of the team and take ownership of their own client base, with the ambition to grow within the firm.
You will be involved in a range of accounting tasks and client advice, including:
* Preparation of financial statements and income tax returns for medium to large businesses including companies, trusts, and partnerships
* Client engagements and advice
* Preparation of financial statements and income tax returns for companies, trusts, partnerships, and individuals
* Prepare, oversee and advise on BAS, FBT, GST, Payroll Tax, and statutory reporting requirements
* Assist to manage client relationships
* Liaise effectively with external and internal stakeholders
* Mentor and review work for junior members of staff
About you:
To be successful in this role, ideally you will have the following experience and attributes:
* Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance or related field
* Minimum of 5 years experience in a similar role
* CA / CPA Qualification
* Strong technical skills in tax compliance, financial reporting, and advisory services
* A dedicated client service focus with a passion for building long-lasting relationships
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* A desire to be a valued member of the team and take ownership of your own client base, with the ambition to grow within the firm
* Current driver’s licence with own transport
* National police clearance no older than 3 months or be able to obtain
