About the opportunity: As the Commercial Finance Manager, you will play a crucial role in providing financial leadership and expertise to our Humes business unit. Your insights will contribute to financial planning, business performance, and strategic decision-making. Partnering closely with the Executive General Manager of Humes (EGM) and regional management team, you will drive business performance, identify opportunities for improvement, and ensure strong financial governance.
Key Responsibilities: Lead the financial performance and strategic planning processes within Humes, ensuring alignment with group timetables and local requirements including presentations to the EGM of Humes. Ensure forecast accuracy for monthly EBIT performance. Drive effective cash management by executing initiatives to reduce working capital with a specific focus on inventory within Humes. Ensure that reporting on Key Business Indicators and Drivers are in place to measure business performance and are readily accessible for the Area Managers. Advise and assist Area Managers with insights and growth-driving opportunities, and special projects as required. Ensure that regular reviews are completed for key Balance Sheet and P&L accounts on a regular basis. Provide day-to-day oversight and direction to your direct report, including feedback and coaching on development areas. Work with the internal controls team to ensure that the minimum internal controls standards are understood and adhered to by the Area Managers. About You: Degree level qualifications in a relevant discipline including business, finance, accounting, commerce or economics. Professional membership of the Institute of Chartered Accountants or Professional Membership of the Australian Society of Certified Practicing Accountants. Demonstrated experience in a senior finance management role within a complex manufacturing environment. Experience in a related sector is preferred. Demonstrated ability in building relationships, business partnering and influencing peers and stakeholders at all levels. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. A passion for driving business performance and a commitment to both safety and sustainability.
