Our client: Our client is a prestigious New South Wales, private farming operation, with a long and successful history. What began as an expansive sheep grazing property has transformed into a, state-of-the-art, diversified pastoral powerhouse. Spanning 11,000 hectares with over 35 dedicated staff. Their operations encompass broad-scale irrigated cropping, dryland farming, and efficient irrigated horticulture. Supporting this significant operation is over 600 pieces of machinery, vehicles, plant and equipment which must be maintained by expert contractors. The Role: Reporting to the General Manager this vital administration role is pivotal in keeping the operations running smoothly. Each piece of equipment must be scheduled for checking and servicing by qualified trades. This role ensures scheduling services and breakdown maintenance occurs, ensuring parts are ordered and delivered. Your role is to ensure maintenance and repairs are done in the most efficient, cost-effective manner possible. Importantly you will receive training and mentoring as you learn about the diverse range of equipment. The company is expanding and offers a genuine career path. Key Responsibilities: Involve but not limited to Co-ordination of all plant and machinery servicing in conjunction with farm managers Sourcing of suitable trades people on cost and quality. Manage warranty claims with the accounts team Coordinate services and repairs based on prestart feedback from farm hands Procurement of parts, oils and materials focusing on just in time rather than holding stocks Overseeing maintenance on fixed assets such as roads, sheds pumps and generators. Maintain the system of maintenance ensure all records are kept on key pieces of equipment under lease Work with finance to ensure correct payments are made. Who You Are: The key to success in this role is being proactive, tenacious, and having attention to detail. Ideally you will have a sound appreciation of farming operations and plant and equipment, but it is not mandatory. If you have worked in a related industry where you have coordinated service activities or been ordering highly specific parts in a fast-paced environment, you should consider applying.
