Sydney Wealth Management Contract or Temporary Our client is a leading wealth management firm seeking an Operational Risk Analyst for an initial 12-month contract with the view to extend or transition into a permanent role. This position lies with the Operational Risk team in Line 1, an independent function that oversees, monitors, measures and analyses operational risks across the organisation to ensure they are operating within the businesses risk appetite levels across the network. Key Accountabilities Manage and review large amounts of data. Perform data analysis using Excel. Prepare summaries and information packs for various Management and Risk Committees. Escalate exceptions appropriately to the Risk Manager. Participate in process development initiatives to increase efficiencies. Assist with Deep Dives into key areas to determine if there are control gaps. Promote a positive operational risk culture throughout the business. Establish and maintain relationships with other internal stakeholders and departments. Comply with the ethical standards contained within the Company Code of Conduct. Adhere to Company policies and procedures, regulatory and legislative requirements. Key Experience and Qualifications Previous data analysis experience. Experience within wealth management, financial planning, or banking highly desirable. Recognised industry qualifications preferred but not essential. Tertiary degree – preferably in the field of commerce – highly desirable.
