This opportunity
As a Quality Engineer the key purpose of this role is to improve the team's quality, efficiency and independence. This role will see you drive the continuous improvement of quality reducing QA cost & time by minimising the manual intervention using the best practice innovative technology for QA Automation.
You will have to develop and implement tools and processes as part of QA Transformation strategy to support continuous integration and continuous delivery model. You will be required to ensure that the QA tribe and squads meet business and delivery objects particularly for automation targets.
Your focus shall be on building and maintain relations with stakeholder groups that emphasis on leading continuous improvement of QA technical capabilities and to optimize investments in the TPG Automation capabilities.
Responsibilities

1. Design, develop and manage the maintenance of automated test scripts across all domains.
2. Prepare reusable functions, which focus on improving the robustness, re-usability, and maintainability of the test scripts.
3. Support and improve build test processes, environments, and scripts to ensure highest quality code drops.
4. Plan and develop automation frameworks to enable test automation on all in-scope applications.
5. Identify and develop Regression test automation suites and maintain all existing Test Automation suites when applications are changed.
6. Liaise with business stakeholders to obtain commitment of scope for test coverage and content.
7. Providing technical support for test tool applications.
8. Identify and automate test data preparation process for Functional & Non-Functional test phases.
9. Develop and maintain centralised reporting tool to track the key performance indicators for testing.
10. Liaise with multiple test vendors to gather test requirements.
11. Develop and maintain Automation tools and process training manuals.
12. Measure and improve test productivity and quality through effective utilisation of tools.
13. Follow the strategic roadmap for quality engineering capabilities within the tribe and squads.
14. Possess the right technical understanding and skills to have meaningful discussion with domain leads, technical managers and domain architects and designers to optimise the tool and process.
15. Understand the working context of different tools of automation and able to apply the best ones.
16. Managing internal automation test cases/knowledge base and build up common test case base for functional areas and different testing phases.
Knowledge and experience
17. At least 5 years working in QA competency within Technology developing Automation framework.
18. Demonstrated knowledge and expertise with a range of Automation tools including but not limited to, Selenium, Cucumber, Perfecto & Applitools.
19. Experience in testing within CI/CD implementations.
20. Strong knowledge of programming languages across various technologies.
21. Proven experience in designing and developing code for various test phases (Unit, Functional & Integration).
22. Highly desirable previous experience working within the telecommunication industry with knowledge of telecommunication technologies, processes and support systems.
23. Interest in acquiring new technical knowledge and becoming an SME in new technologies.
24. Ability to adapt quickly self-starts, work effectively with multiple groups, and follow issues through to resolution.
25. Good communication skills both written and verbal.
26. Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to easily develop new relationships with both suppliers and colleagues.
