As a Senior QA Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of our platform. Join our distributed, high-performing team in our central London office (hybrid, 2 days per week), where the core of our tech team is located. Responsibilities Develop and maintain robust test strategies for our web and mobile apps, covering functional, performance, and security testing. Implement and enhance automated testing frameworks to ensure high test coverage across APIs, frontend and backend services. Continuously monitor and improve software quality through proactive testing, root cause analysis, and risk-based assessments. Debug critical production issues, participate in incident management, and drive resolutions to prevent recurrence. Advocate for best practices in test automation, release, and overall software quality improvements. Collaborate closely with Engineering, Product and School Ops teams. Be a team player. Ideally, you will have Strong experience in test automation for web and mobile, using tools like Cypress. Critical thinking on when to automate tests versus manual testing for maximum efficiency. Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Git Hub Actions) and integrating automated tests. Experience with monitoring and observability tools (e.g., Data Dog, Grafana, Prometheus) to analyze system health and test results. Bonus, if you have Experience testing performance, security, and scalability of distributed systems. A track record of handling large scale production incidents, conducting root cause analysis, and leading post-mortems to improve quality.
