Seeking an experienced Hydrologist for an exciting project role in Brisbane Your new company This company is a market leader in mining and commodity trading. Involved in various sites across North West QLD and around Australia they are seeking an experienced Hydrologist / Hydrogeologist for a project out of their Brisbane office. Your new role Working within the Water Team of the HSEC department, you will be working on surface water and groundwater management systems and projects. This role will see you: Plan, organise and take responsibility for hydrological/hydrogeological site investigations and assessments. Use technical expertise to corroborate, prove, verify, confirm, and revise reports and conceptual understandings on complex surface and groundwater quality and flow aspects of different projects, borefield designs, feasibility studies, surface and groundwater modelling, contaminant studies and water resources compliance reporting. Support the implementation and QA/QC of the information contain in the Environmental Database. This role is based out of the Brisbane office with occasional travel to site. What you'll need to succeed The successful candidate will have tertiary qualification/s in environmental science/engineering, civil engineering with environmental management or hydrology/hydrogeology/geochemistry (BSc as a minimum) as well as relevant operational experience in an environmental focused mining role. You will need to be a highly skilled communicator, work with a sense of urgency and attention to detail and have the ability to develop strong working relationships with your colleagues.
