The role will provide medical leadership and governance for all clinical work, and contribute to service planning, within the program. The Medical Lead is accountable for the medical leadership and governance within their respective Program within Central Adelaide Local Health Network. Overview of Programs: Surgery 1 Consists of Oral Maxillofacial, Cleft & Craniofacial, Otolaryngology, Orthopaedics, Spinal, Dermatology, Plastics and Burns Surgical Units. Surgery 2 Consists of Ophthalmology, Vascular Surgery, Urology, Gynaecology, Gynaecological Oncology and Breast & Endocrine Surgical Units. Surgery 3 Consists of ASU, Colorectal, GI Endoscopy, Gastroenterology, Hepatobiliary, Trauma Surgery & Oncology and Upper GI Surgical Units Essential Minimum Requirements: Appropriate Specialist Qualifications for Consultant registerable as a Specialist with the Medical Board of Australia Hold and maintain appropriate registrations with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Authority (AHPRA) To Be Successful in this Role Holding appropriate specialist qualifications for a Consultant, you will be registered as a Specialist with the Medical Board of Australia. You will demonstrate experience in a Senior Clinical leadership role, including experience in the planning and provision of health services. This will be supported by your proven leadership skills and ability to motivate others. Successfully leading professional groups to achieve best practice clinical outcomes, you will have the capacity to establish and maintain productive working relationships with a diverse range of professional staff.
