A leading commodities business is seeking a skilled Senior Analyst in Risk, Governance, and Compliance to join their Risk and Governance team.
In this role, the successful candidate will support the oversight of internal risk management, governance frameworks, and external regulatory compliance.
The Senior Analyst will ensure that the market risk governance framework is up to date and aligned with the organisation's risk appetite.
They will be responsible for monitoring compliance with risk limits, preparing comprehensive risk reports, and contributing insights to guide strategic decision-making.
This role also involves overseeing regulatory compliance activities, ensuring obligations are met, and supporting the management of key contractual agreements such as ISDAs and credit support arrangements.
Key Responsibilities:
Support the development and continual update of the Market Risk governance framework, ensuring alignment with risk appetite and business objectives.Monitor risk limits, controls, and exposures, while providing regular and ad-hoc reporting as required.Analyse results from risk models, ensuring consistency with market conditions and making recommendations to inform strategy.Oversee regulatory compliance activities, ensuring obligations are met and providing guidance on key issues and escalations.Assist in the negotiation of key agreements, including ISDAs and OTC credit arrangements.Coordinate and prepare meetings and reports for governance committees, assuming secretarial duties where required.Collaborate with internal teams including Legal, Finance, and Risk to ensure compliance with governance requirements.Provide recommendations for governance and risk framework enhancements as new products and strategies are introduced.About the Candidate:
Bachelor's degree in a commercial or quantitative discipline (e.g., Economics, Finance, Mathematics).3+ years of experience in a market risk, governance, or compliance-based role within the commodities sector.Strong analytical skills and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to handle and interpret large datasets.Excellent communication and business writing skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across functions.Knowledge of risk frameworks, hedge products, and ISDA agreements is highly advantageous.Proficiency with risk models and systems such as SQL, Python, or Tableau is desirable. #J-18808-Ljbffr
