What we are looking for:
Join the Fraser Coast Regional Council as a Maintenance Programmer! We’re seeking a motivated professional to play a key role in managing and maintaining our community’s vital infrastructure assets, including roads, stormwater, drainage, parks, and coastal areas. If you’re passionate about asset management and have the skills to help us deliver effective maintenance and capital renewal programs, we want to hear from you!
What your day will look like:
* Collaborating with teams to assess the condition of infrastructure assets like roads, stormwater systems, and parks.
* Using asset management systems to input, update, and retrieve data for planning and reporting purposes.
* Developing and prioritising maintenance and capital works programs based on asset condition data.
* Conducting on-site assessments when needed to evaluate infrastructure conditions and recommend remedial actions
* Preparing detailed project scopes, cost estimates, and technical reports.

What you’ll need for success:
* AQF Level 4 (or above) in Engineering, Asset Management or related field or significant practical experience in a similar role.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office, with intermediate to advanced skills in Excel, Microsoft Project and GIS Mapping applications
* Strong skills in asset data analysis and civil works program development.
* Experience in project selection, scoping, cost estimation, and technical reporting.
* Excellent communication skills (interpersonal and written).
* Effective time management and project prioritization.
* Strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
* Proven teamwork and collaboration skills.
What’s nice to have:
* Local government experience in Civil Engineering, civil asset management or equivalent
