About the Role
As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate end-to-end fortnightly payroll processing for approximately 350 employees.
Key Responsibilities:
* Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to provide exceptional customer service and support compliance obligations.
* Provide first-level advice to employees regarding the interpretation of clauses, policies, and procedures, in line with awards and enterprise agreements.
* Review and update payroll procedures and work instructions on a regular basis to create efficiencies in the payroll function.
* Contribute to the implementation, testing, and configuration of a new HRIS system that requires payroll integration.
About You
We are looking for an individual with proven experience in payroll processing for a minimum of 200 employees, who has a sound understanding of payroll legislation and compliance.
While experience within the education industry is highly advantageous, it is not necessary. However, experience in intermediate to advanced payroll systems for small to medium-sized organisations is preferred.
You should have a strong understanding of complex award and enterprise agreement interpretation, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
