This position will work across all areas of the facility.Penshurst Campus comprises of 4 acute beds, 19 nursing home beds and 10 hostel aged care beds. Penshurst is located 30 kilometres from Hamilton and where the main campus of Western District Health Service is located. The Registered Nurse works as part of the clinical team under the guidance of the Nurse Unit Manager or delegate and at times may be required to be the Nurse in Charge of the Shift. The Registered Nurse works with the Endorsed Enrolled Nurses and Health Care workers to ensure person-centred care and evidence-based practice is provided to residents and patients in the facility.The successful applicant will be involved in the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of allocated and delegated nursing care activities to assist the patient/resident to meet care needs and health outcomes and have an understanding of the Aged Care Quality Standards.Please note you must have the right to work in Australia and be able to provide evidence of this.You will bring:AHPRA registration as a Registered NurseExperience and knowledge in Aged CareIdeally, an understanding of the AN-ACC and Aged Care StandardsWound management and the Montessori approach to individualise the aged care experienceWhat we can offer:Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary teamGenerous salary packaging optionsFree on-site car parkingA culture which supports staff health and wellbeingProposed Interview Date: Upon receipt of suitable applicationsThe successful candidate must have or obtain a National Criminal Police Check.
