The role:The Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) - Primary Health North provides effective leadership and management in a complex multidisciplinary environment to achieve the defined clinical objectives of district hospital services within the THS - North region.As a member of the Leadership team, the Assistant Director of Nursing - Primary Health North (PHN) will:Provide a high level of operational and professional leadership and direction, ensuring resources are effectively utilized and the highest standards of service delivery are maintained in accordance with the THS – North policy directions, service standards, and financial performance targets.Ensure effective professional governance and partnerships, quality training and practice development, and will collaboratively progress and maximize strategic nursing initiatives including the development of a sustainable workforce to achieve nursing excellence and ensure a sustainable nursing service for our community.Provide the Nursing Director – PHN with high-level quality advice and support.Details of AppointmentPermanent, full-time, day worker position working 76 hours per fortnight commencing as soon as you can join the team.*Notwithstanding, hours may be negotiated with the successful applicant.Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full-time and part-time vacancies.Salary: $145,444 per annum. Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.You’ll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.Payment of $15,000 staged over three years is available for Nurses and Midwives who move to Tasmania from interstate and remain employed full-time for three years or more, on top of the relocation allowance already available (subject to approval).Eligibility:Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria:Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse.Current Driver’s Licence.*Registration/licences that are essential requirements of this role must remain current and valid at all times whilst employed in this role and the status of these may be checked at any time during employment. It is the employee’s responsibility to ensure that registration/licences remain current and to advise the Employer if their circumstances change.
