About the role
There is currently one permanent full time vacancy to be filled from this recruitment process.
Reporting to the Manager Assessment & Enquiries, this position is responsible providing a first point of contact with the public and legal profession for incoming queries for the Board received via telephone, electronically, in person and in writing, to deliver a high quality service and outcomes and promote consumer confidence in the Western Australian legal profession. The Assessment Officer works as part of a team and triages, handles enquiries and attempts to resolve the more straightforward complaints and more routine matters. The position also assesses and provides information in relation to practising certificate applications, renewals and registrations (including admission to legal practice) and continuing professional development and statutory trust accounts.
To be successful in this position you will be able to demonstrate relevant experience in a customer service, complaint handling, and regulatory environment.
Conditions
A current (within 6 months) National Police Clearance Certificate will be required prior to commencement of employment.
While this selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy, applicants found suitable for this position may be considered for ‘similar’ vacancies within the Board or the wider public sector, or both, which arise within twelve months of the recruitment process being endorsed. In addition to this, should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised position, then the next most suitable applicant may also be selected from this process. Future vacancies may be considered fixed term, permanent, part-time or full-time.
