As a Registered/Clinical Nurse in the Day of Surgery Admission team, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring seamless surgical experiences for patients through comprehensive pre-operative assessments, patient education, and coordinated care planning. About the role: Reporting to the Nurse Unit Manager, some of your duties as the Registered/Clinical Nurse may involve: Assessing individual patient needs, plan, implement and/or coordinate appropriate service delivery from a range of accepted options including other disciplines or agencies. Reviewing decisions, assessments and recommendations from less experienced Registered and Enrolled Nurses and students. Planning and coordinating services with other disciplines or agencies in providing individual healthcare needs. Please note: This position is multi-classed as either RN1 or RN2C and classification will be determined by qualifications and/or experience. About you: Registered or eligible for registration as a Nurses by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate. To be considered for the RN2C classification, you must be a Registered Nurse with at least 3 years, full time equivalent, post-registration experience. Demonstrated competence in Day Surgery/acute surgical nursing practice in accordance with the relevant standards. Effective communication, problem solving, conflict resolution and negotiation skills.
