As the Office Manager for our vibrant Sydney team, you will play a crucial role in fostering a welcoming and collaborative working environment within our newly renovated office space.
This is a fast paced and diverse role, where you will manage a range of functions including general office management, running our culture calendar of events (it's all about having fun!
), managing our operational vendor relationships, plus more!
What you will be doing In this role, you will be the face of Valiant and the heart of our community with a designated responsibility to create a positive atmosphere and environment.
As the Office Manager you will: Provide office administrative support to our team with no task too small for you to tackle, this might include: managing our grocery order for snacks and drinks in the office, tidying meeting rooms, cupboards and office desks, booking flights, managing office inventory, engaging with our building manager about office facilities, etc.
Organise and execute company wide events such as our EOFY party, Christmas party, our quarterly social events, and monthly office-wide wraps Organise and execute ad-hoc events to drive up office culture such as celebrating international women's day, R U Ok Day, Australia's biggest morning tea, etc.
Respond to people's office-related needs and proactively look for opportunities to continuously improve our working environment Ad-hoc administrative duties as set out by the People & Talent team including supporting with HR admin activities What will make you stand out in this role Passion: you're passionate about creating an incredible place to work, and care about the office culture and environment Communication skills: you're confident enough to speak to anyone, and approachable enough that people will seek you out to ask questions Organisation skills: you thrive in an environment where you are required to create a structure for yourself and organise your day, juggling multiple tasks at a time and prioritising tasks Attention to detail: you have high attention to detail to help scheduling and record keeping, particularly when planning out big events Teamwork and collaboration: you work well in a team and can collaborate across departments, and are not afraid to say when you don't know something and ask for advice Proactive attitude: you show initiative to take on additional responsibilities and improve the office without constant always needing supervision Benefits Brand new pet-friendly office.
