The Opportunity
Our client Summit Power provides powerline hardware to contractors servicing the electrical, mining, agricultural, rail and construction industries. They are currently seeking a candidate who is mechanically minded, has a genuine interest in the industry, and looking for a long-term role.
Ideal candidates are in their 2nd or 3rd year of an apprenticeship. While we will consider 1st year applicants, we are particularly interested in those with hands-on experience who are ready to thrive in a dynamic work environment.
Job Details
Embark on an exciting career as a Boilermaker Apprentice at Summit Power! You’ll gain invaluable skills in welding (both aluminium and mild steel), fabrication and interpreting engineering drawings.
Your role will involve hands-on work with cutting, heating, bending, cropping, punching, drilling, grinding, sanding, polishing, and maintaining a tidy work environment.
This four year apprenticeship paves the way to becoming a qualified Boilermaker with a a nationally accredited qualification, MEM31922 Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade.
Located in Albury, this is a fantastic opportunity to kick-start your career.
Hours of Work:
The standard hours are Monday to Friday from 7:30am to 4:30pm. Weekend work and weekday overtime may be required on an ad-hoc basis.

* A proactive approach with a strong commitment to achieving high standards
* A hard-working individual who can work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team
* A solid understanding of machinery and tools, allowing for effective troubleshooting and operation
* A willingness to absorb new skills and take direction from experienced team members
* A high level of initiative combined with excellent communication skills to ensure smooth collaboration
* The ability to complete Forklift training, which will be provided by Summit Power
* A dependable vehicle and a current driver’s licence
* A valid White Card to demonstrate commitment to workplace safety
Additional Requirements:
* Forklift licence (advantageous)
* Ability to pass a pre-employment medical examination, drug and alcohol screening and police check
