Offer Description
Granular hydrogels are small hydrogel particles that have multiple uses in the biomedical engineering field. First, they are commonly used as carrier particles for the large scale manufacturing of stem cells in suspension culture. Second, they can be used as injectable scaffold materials in tissue engineering and regenerative medicine applications. In this project, we aim to develop hydrogel microparticle systems for use in these two applications. The project will entail development of hydrogel systems with bespoke biological properties, fabrication of the hydrogels into particles with controllable size, and the evaluation of their use in suspension culture and/or tissue engineering applications.
