About Extent Heritage Extent Heritage is one of the largest heritage advisory firms in Australia with offices in Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, and Hobart and almost eighty permanent professional staff covering the full range of heritage disciplines. We work for all levels of government and across the private sector.
Extent Heritage are specialists in the identification, assessment, conservation and management of Indigenous heritage in Australia. Our skills in this area include archaeological investigations, cultural values mapping and assessment, and strategic cultural heritage policy advice. Extent Heritage are also leaders in the field of historical archaeology, with our proficiencies in survey and excavation now supported by growing artefact management and materials conservation capabilities. Our heritage places teams have expertise that covers the full range of post-contact built heritage through the twentieth century. As befits our mission to serve and engage with our communities, Extent Heritage is increasingly recognised in the field of heritage interpretation, and we seek to boost and enhance this, and all of the above, through the growth of our digital heritage capabilities.
Over the last twenty years, our firm has managed some of the largest and most sensitive heritage projects in Australia. The range of our work is extremely broad – from providing Aboriginal cultural heritage and historical archaeological services for major urban renewal projects to assessing World Heritage Properties in Australia, Ireland and South East Asia, and from undertaking large scale municipal heritage studies to providing cultural heritage advice to Australia's burgeoning offshore and onshore renewable energy industries.
