As we continue to expand our global presence, we are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Regional Sales Manager to lead and support our sales efforts in the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region.
About the role: Reporting to the highly supportive and experienced Head of Sales for the region based in Melbourne, As the Regional Sales Manager - APAC, you will be responsible for driving sales growth, managing key customer and distributor relationships, and developing strategic market initiatives across the region. This role requires a sound technical background, a deep understanding of the coatings, pigments or relevant segment, and a proactive approach to business development and strategic key account management planning.
Develop and execute strategic sales plans to drive growth and expand market share in the APAC region.Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, distributors, and industry partners.Identify new business opportunities and develop customized solutions to meet customer needs.Provide technical support and guidance to customers, ensuring the optimal application of products and solutions.Conduct market research and analysis to identify industry trends, customer demands, and competitive positioning.Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, marketing, and operations, to ensure seamless execution of sales strategies.Represent The Shepherd Color Company at industry trade shows, conferences, and networking events.Regularly report on sales performance, market trends, and business development initiatives to senior leadership.Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Materials Science, Business, or a related field.Minimum of 5 years of sales/key account management experience in the coatings, pigments, specialty chemicals or a related technical industry.Proven track record of developing and growing key direct clients and distributor relationships.Technical understanding of inorganic pigments and their applications is an advantage however not essential as technical training will be provided.Be a real team player and be able to work cohesively in a small supportive team environment based here in the south-east suburbs of Melbourne.Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.Willingness to travel extensively across the APAC region.APAC regional experience is not essential however will be highly regarded.Why join this wonderful organisation?
