About this role:
The main role of the Senior Dental Clinic Assistant is to support the Dental Clinic Coordinator in the daily administration and operation of the Dental Clinic. Duties include maintaining patient records, supervising other dental assistants, and ensuring infection control protocols are followed. The Senior Dental Clinic Assistant also provides chairside assistance for dentists and assists in managing inventory and supplies while supervising and giving guidance to Dental Clinic Assistants.

The successful individual will have considerable experience as a Dental Assistant and can use this experience and demonstrated leadership skills to contribute to the smooth operation of the Dental Health Services General Dental Clinics.

Eligibility to Apply:
To be considered for this role, applicants must hold a Cert III or Cert IV in Dental Assisting or equivalent. Australian citizenship or permanent residency is an essential requirement for applicants to be considered for permanent positions in the public sector.
Whilst this selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy, it may also be used to fill other "similar" vacancies throughout the health service.
