The Role
As part of our dynamic team, the Cook/Head Cook will lead the kitchen team and ensure the effective running of day-to-day kitchen operations and adherence to recipes and procedures.
Our open plan kitchens and fast-paced taquerias require a Cook/Head Cook with a dynamic personality and ability to maintain quality, follow OH&S procedures and provide exceptional customer dining experiences.
To succeed in this role, you should have/be:
* Experience in leading a demanding kitchen environment is essential
* Qualifications such as Certificate III in Commercial Cookery will be highly regarded
* Leadership experience and outstanding communication skills
* Passion for food, quality and customer service
* Sound knowledge of OH&S
* Excellent time management skills
* Ability to follow procedures and guarantee consistency
This role requires a leader who can drive high standards in food preparation and presentation, while maintaining a safe and efficient kitchen environment.
Key Responsibilities Include:
* Liaising with the restaurant manager to implement new menu items and promotions
* Maintaining accurate inventory records and managing kitchen supplies
* Ensuring a clean and hygienic kitchen environment at all times
* Developing and implementing training programs for kitchen staff
